Hullo! My name is Liesl, and I am the dyer behind LilyRose Dyeworks!
My love of all things textile began as a child. My Mom was an avid crafter, and growing up I spent many happy hours in her sewing room playing with scraps of fabric and yarn. As I grew older, she taught me to knit, and I have never looked back! There is almost never a time when I don’t have a knitting project on the needles, or a project bag with beautiful yarn ready to pick up and take with me on a journey.

LilyRose Dyeworks is a small indie dyer based in the deep south of Cape Town, on the False Bay coast, an area painted a thousand shades of blue by the sky and the sea, and smudged with the dusty browns and greens of the indigenous fynbos.
